Finimize Community Events 2021 | A Year in Review
2021 marked the 3rd year operating our Global Community Host Program, a program designed to empower our 1 million community to self-organize their own investing events.
In its first year, our members connected 10,000 Finimizers across 35 different countries. Since lockdown, the new digital world allowed us to connect over 100,000 Finimizers through virtual events — making it one of the largest gatherings in the financial world.
With new tech democratizing access to investing, everyone can become an investor. This year we learnt that 80% of Finimizers now invest (up by 60% from 2019) and our community can’t get enough of crypto, with over 70% invested in digital currency.
At Finimize, we made it our mission to put community at the centre of this investing movement and empower everyone to become better investors.
Here are the 2021 highlights:
- 70,000 attending events
- 240 events with an average of 250 attendees
- 35 Community Hosts joined the 2021 team
- Our first crypto summit with 15,000 attendees
- Launched our first community podcast series and published 18 episodes
The most popular 2021 event themes revolved around crypto, NFTs, electric vehicles, Green energy, IPOs, AI, chipmakers and inflation.
Our team also interviewed top investors like Mark Cuban, Tim Draper, Aswath Damodaran, VanEck CEO, ProcureAM CEO, BlackRock’s Head of Investment Strategy and Jefferies’s Managing Director, Stephanie Wissink.

Looking back at 2021, moving to a new country, looking for a new job, and covid… it was a huge challenge.
